Project Manager
Daniel James Resourcing
Project Manager
Every vehicle passes through a life cycle that is harder to run than it looks—from retail and funding to fleet use, inspection and remarketing. This role exists to turn that complexity into delivery customers can trust. You will lead the work that lets manufacturers, fleet operators and retailers focus on their business, not on broken handoffs. When you succeed, programmes land on time, decisions stay clear, and customers feel the difference in how their operations run.
Performance Objectives
- Set scope, success measures and a delivery plan for cross-functional programmes across remarketing, retail, funding and vehicle solutions, and hold delivery to agreed milestones.
- Bring product, operations, technology and commercial stakeholders onto one decision path so priorities, dependencies and trade-offs are settled before they become delay.
- Deliver to committed time, cost and quality, and track benefits against customer and business outcomes—not activity alone.
- Keep a living risk and issue log, recover the schedule when plans move, and protect compliance, data integrity and customer trust.
- Turn customer and internal needs into clear requirements, then confirm that what is released is adopted in day-to-day operations.
- Report progress in plain language to senior leaders so investment and resourcing decisions rest on evidence.
- Close each project with a measured handover, captured lessons and a benefits review the next team can use.
Environment & Resources
You will work hybrid from Leeds with a UK delivery community and colleagues across Europe in product, technology, operations and customer success. You will have standard planning and collaboration tools, a defined governance rhythm, and a reporting line into delivery leadership, with authority to escalate blockers and shape resourcing inside agreed budgets.
Essential Qualifications
- A record of owning multi-workstream projects from initiation through benefits realisation in a commercial, customer-facing setting.
- Proven control of scope, schedule, budget, risk and change without losing the outcome.
- Experience coordinating technical and operational teams—software, data or service delivery—where interfaces matter as much as tasks.
- Clear written and spoken communication with senior stakeholders and the people who use the service.
- Comfort in a regulated, fast-moving automotive or adjacent services environment, including hybrid work with UK and European partners.
- Right to work in the UK.
Why this role
- Problems that span the vehicle life cycle, not a single function or a single release.
- A European growth business with the reach of a global automotive services group—room to shape how delivery is done.
- Hybrid working from Leeds, alongside teams who already serve manufacturers, fleets and retailers at scale.
- Work where your judgement is visible: customers feel a late launch, and they feel a clean one.
- A bias for trusted, simpler operations over process theatre—prove the change worked.
