We’re partnering with a prestigious global professional services organisation that is investing heavily in cloud engineering, automation and emerging AI technologies.

This is an opportunity to join a dedicated Global Innovation function, operating outside the traditional IT structure, with a remit to design, build and deliver innovative technology solutions used across the business globally.

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud / DevOps / Platform Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, building scalable infrastructure and exploring how emerging technologies can deliver real business value.

The Opportunity

You’ll play a key role in developing the cloud infrastructure and engineering foundations that support a growing portfolio of innovation projects, including AI-powered applications and intelligent automation.

Working alongside engineers, architects and innovation specialists, you’ll help turn new ideas and technical prototypes into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions.

This is a hands-on engineering opportunity offering genuine technical ownership, exposure to emerging technologies and the chance to influence how cloud platforms are designed and delivered.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.
• Support the development and deployment of innovative applications, including AI, LLM and agentic AI solutions.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and engineering workflows.
• Work closely with innovation teams to move prototypes and proof-of-concepts into production.
• Implement cloud security, reliability, monitoring and DevSecOps best practices.
• Contribute to architectural decisions, engineering standards and platform improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability and automation across cloud environments.

What We’re Looking For

Essential experience:

• Strong commercial experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps or Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on expertise with Azure and/or GCP (experience across both would be advantageous).
• Strong practical experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Experience designing, deploying and supporting cloud-based infrastructure.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation and modern software delivery practices.
• Understanding of cloud security, infrastructure reliability and scalable architecture.
• A proactive engineering mindset, comfortable taking ownership and solving complex problems.

Desirable experience:

• Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration.
• Exposure to AI/ML infrastructure, LLMs or emerging AI technologies.
• GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps or similar CI/CD tooling.
• Experience supporting innovation, R&D or rapid-prototyping environments.
• Experience working within large enterprise or professional services organisations.
